1. Educational content — not professional advice

All articles, templates, checklists and other material on this site are provided for general information and educational purposes only. They are not professional, legal, regulatory, compliance or audit advice, and they do not create any advisory or client relationship. Cybersecurity is highly context-dependent: what is appropriate for one organisation may be wrong or harmful for another. Always evaluate guidance against your own environment and, where the stakes justify it, engage a qualified professional.

2. No warranty

The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, completeness, currency, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Security threats, products and best practices change constantly; content may become outdated and may contain errors.

3. Use at your own risk

You are solely responsible for any change you make to your systems. Commands, configuration examples, firewall rules, scripts and hardening steps described here can disrupt or lock you out of systems if applied without understanding. Test in a safe, isolated environment first, keep backups, and make sure you have authorisation to make changes to the systems concerned.

4. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the site operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages — including but not limited to security incidents, data loss, downtime, lost profits or business interruption — arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the site or any reliance on its content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort or any other legal theory.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Romanian or EU law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for intent or gross negligence.

5. Third-party links, tools and products

The site links to third-party websites, tools and resources. These links are provided for convenience and do not constitute endorsement. We have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, the content, policies or practices of third-party sites. Some links are affiliate links, as described in our Affiliate Disclosure.

6. Purchases and digital products

Templates, guides and other digital products are sold exclusively through Gumroad. Gumroad is the merchant of record and payment processor. All purchases, pricing, payment, delivery, licensing and refunds are governed by Gumroad's terms of service and refund policy and by the licence presented at the point of sale. No payment is taken on riskbits.net itself. Any refund request must be made through Gumroad.

7. Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, all content on this site is © RiskiBits / Ionuț-Robert Sandu. You may quote short extracts and link to articles with clear attribution. You may not republish articles in whole, redistribute paid templates, or present the content as your own. Paid products are licensed to the purchaser under the terms shown at purchase and may not be resold or shared.

8. Comments and user contributions

If you post a comment, you are responsible for its content. You must not post anything unlawful, infringing, defamatory, abusive, misleading or spam. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, store and moderate the comment on the site. We may edit, remove or refuse any comment for any reason, and an automated profanity filter may block submissions. See the Privacy Policy for how comment data is handled.

9. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site, including articles and features, at any time and without notice. We may also update these terms; the current version is always the one published on this page.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Romania have jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence in the EU.
